Jacksonville FL May Fishing Report  | Guide Tip

Had the pleasure of fishing Spencer from Washington State. That morning we had very heavy cloud cover and slicked out conditions. Spencer and I saw some breath taking events in the marsh, including belly crawling redfish, massive schools and tailing fish. Spencer had a wonderful trip that included his very first redfish that we were able to sight fish out of a school feeding on shrimp.

Guide tip: If you have never fished saltwater with a fly rod, you owe it to yourself to practice a double haul. This will allow you to get a little more distance and cast in windy situations. A little practice before your trip will go a long way. If you still need help while on the water, I will be more then happy giving instruction to help reach the redfish.
