All week I have been looking at the weather for Jacksonville, Fl and seeing that the weekend looked windy (small craft advisory) and rainy make me hesitant to book a charter. I got a call from Justin on Saturday night to fish Sunday. I told him I would only take someone that is a hardcore angler due to the conditions.
You can’t catch them on the couch
‘There was not another guide in Northeast Florida that would take him due to the weather warnings. He sounded like he knew what to expect and needed a break from reality. Meet him at the sister creek boat ramp around 630am. We planned on fishing the outgoing tide in the backcountry Marsh. Needless to say, we were the only boat at the ramp. As the tide lowered during the trip he ended up with 3 nice redfish, two good trout, and a flounder to finish off the slam. Someone once told me “You can’t catch them on the couch.” Winds should be laying down as we move into summer but either way it does not affect the fishing. Give Southern Marsh Charters a call and I’ll get you in the books for your next inshore fishing trip.
